SIBEC delegates show continued support for REPs
Delegates at SIBEC in Europe have shown their continued support for the Register of Exercise Professionals (REPs) and have voiced their support for structured career paths within the industry.
REPs Registrar Jean-Ann Marnoch met with employers at the forum in Cyprus to outline the latest developments within the Register and plans for its future. Jean-Ann said: "The reaction to the work that the Register is involved in, in particular with the re-structuring of the qualifications framework to meet employer needs, was extremely positive but what was especially exciting was how some employers are seriously looking at structured career paths to try to ensure that their instructors and personal trainers stay with them. There was also a desire to upskill their workforces to level 3 and a lot of interest in level 4.
"All this is great news, not only for our members, but for the industry as a whole as we continue to work towards a professional and respected industry."
