Simworx unveils theatre attraction that makes you feel like you’re flying
UK-based Simworx has partnered with Dutch company Mondial to launch an innovative ‘flying’ theatre attraction.
The ‘360° Rotating Flying Theatre’ brings together a range of technologies from the two companies, and is intended to give riders the sensation of flying as they watch a film on a large dome screen.
Passengers’ legs dangle freely below them as they sit in the moving theatre, which is available with 60 seats in three rows of 20 and offer unique movements with up and down, sideways to both sides, forward and backward motion.
The experience is enhanced by the use of special effects. Complete show control and an integrated audio visual system are combined with Simworx’s 3D AV solutions.
“As operators increasingly seek to install unique attractions that help them differentiate themselves from their competitors and which appeal to all the family, we are confident our Flying Theatre will create much interest throughout the worldwide attractions industry,” said Simworx managing director Terry Monkton.
The Flying Theatre is supplied as a full turnkey solution, with all audio visual and effects hardware supplied by Simworx. The attraction has been designed, built and produced for the UK company by Mondial.
The introduction of the 360° Rotating Flying Theatre follows the launch of Simworx’s Immersive Tunnel attraction.
Simworx is involved in product design, development, manufacturing and service support, film content, motion programming and the creation of complete themed attractions. The company offers clients a genuine turnkey service, with an unparalleled after-sales support service.
