Sneak peek into new UK fitness industry trade event
With just over a month to go until Elevate descends onto the capital with full force, final preparations are underway to ensure the inaugural trade event is ready to host experts from a range of professions including sport science, leisure management, research and development, performance, local government and public health.
They are all focused on coming together to tackle one key issue: physical inactivity.
Now that we are counting down the days until the event on 4 and 5 May 2016, we can exclusively reveal a couple of surprises from the event. 4 and 5 Both Public Health England and Sport England have recently been confirmed as lead supporters and Dame Sally Davies will be giving an opening address at Elevate.
Bounts, the exercise reward app, will be designing the official Elevate 2016 app for the event which will allow attendees to plan their visit and find out the timetable for the day.
Meanwhile Matrix will be unveiling their new S Drive Sports Performance Trainer at the show, bringing along a couple of special guests for their stand and Zoggs UK will be launching their new Disney Finding Dory range of swimming equipment for all aquatic enthusiasts.

“The importance of the event, Elevate, is to bring together the fitness industry, the technology industry, the healthcare sector and the really important people - who are the practitioners who promote physical activity - and give them a sound bed of evidence to take away and use in their everyday lives. New equipment, new ideas, new energy.” Prof. Charlie Foster, World Health Organisation and Oxford University.
