Spa at the Del opens at historic US hotel
The Hotel del Coronado in San Diego, California, US, has launched its new spa.
Covering 12,500sq ft (1,160sq m), the Spa at The Del has 21 treatment rooms while therapies have been inspired by the ocean and include the Signature Del Massage, Del Facial and Del Scrub.
A unique range of water therapy spa treatments will also be on offer, drawing inspiration from the surrounding ocean and utilising special pools.
Other facilities will include relaxation areas, steamrooms, whirlpools and a private terrace with a swimming pool overlooking the Pacific.
Interior designers were Hirsch Bedner and the spa will use its own Spa at the Del range in its treatments as well as Babor and Epicuren.
The Hotel del Coronado is located on 28 oceanfront acres and first opened in 1888, marketed as a ‘health and pleasure resort’. It has 757 guestrooms including new Beach Village cottages and villas.
A new fitness centre is scheduled to open adjacent to the spa in April. Details: www.hoteldel.com
