Stirling ITC gets new head coach
Olympic medal winning swimming coach, Doug Frost, has been named as the new head coach of the new Intensive Training Centre (ITC) in Stirling, Scotland.
Frost will lead one of the five new ITCs established by the British Swimming in August to provide world-class training environments for elite swimmers ahead of the London 2012 Olympics. Formerly the senior swimming coach at the Australian Institute of Sport, Frost said: "With the introduction of the new ITCs in Great Britain, there will be a new added element of high-level competition between the centres that will only help further develop the sport.
"After working at elite level in swimming for the past 18 years, I believe I can help make Great Britain a dominant force in international swimming in 2012."
