Suffolk leisure revamp nears completion
Anglia Community Leisure (ACL) has announced that a leisure centre in Brandon, Suffolk, will unveil its new facilities on 9 December following a major £500,000 renovation.
Work started on the Forest Heath District Council-funded Brandon Leisure Centre scheme in September, which has included a new 50-station fitness suite equipped by Technogym.
A multi-purpose studio will cater for group exercise programmes, while the spinning facility has been converted into a functional training room. A squash court has also been revamped.
Createability was appointed to carry out the work, which will see the leisure centre close on 30 November until 4 December in order to allow the finishing touches to be applied.
Existing customers will be able to use new facilities from 5 December, before a full launch to all customers on 9 December.
ACL chief executive Tony Bass said: "This significant investment into the facility will enable the Brandon community to access an extensive range of health and fitness activities right on their doorstep."
