TAG appoints new board member
Transforming a Generation (TAG), the charity specialising in training and placing 18-24 year old people who are not in employment, education or training (NEETs) in employment, has appointed Murray Butcher to the charity's board of trustees.
Butcher, who is a former director of assessment and quality at City & Guilds, also sits on the board of the Council for the Advancement of Communication with Deaf People.
Butcher will be tasked with helping to in develop the TAG programme and Fred Turok, founder and chair of TAG, said his experience of developing and implementing professional development programmes will be invaluable.
"Murray's appointment underpins the fact that we are building a team at TAG which will have an unprecedented strength in depth," Turok added.
"The team will be tasked in constantly evolving our vanguard training programme which combines technical and 'soft' skills - something which has almost become our trademark - to the benefit of both employers and the young people entering our industry."
