A new multi-million pound watersports park has been proposed for Yaverland on the Isle of Wight.
The scheme was conceived by Suffolk-based developers Colonnade Holdings alongside X-Isle Sports, the Bembridge-based extreme sports company, and includes plans for indoor surfing, an adrenaline sports training centre, a skate park, and an offshore artificial reef, as well as accommodation, retail units, restaurants and bars.
The project is expected to attract around £150m of private sector investment and attract more than half a million visitors a year.
A planning application could be submitted to Isle of Wight Council by the autumn. Details: www.x-is.co.uk
