Job opportunities
Wigan’s healthy living campaign is being rolled out across the borough following a successful pilot scheme.
Run by Wigan Leisure and Culture Trust’s Active Living Team, the scheme gives parents or carers of children up to the age of five healthy eating advice and opportunities to get physically active.
The initiative proved successful in the pilot areas of west Wigan, Platt Bridge and Westleigh.
The sessions take place at a local activity centre and are designed to be as varied as possible to suit all needs. They include healthy eating classes Cook and Taste and Fit and Food as well as Pram Pushes and Top Tots activity sessions
