YMCAfit launches 2005 Presenter Academy
The hunt is on for this year’s bright new talent in fitness presenting.
YMCA Fitness Industry Training (YMCAfit) has teamed up with Action UK to run the 2005 Presenter Academy.
The winner of the academy will be launched into presenting through nationwide tours, events and conventions.
Launching on 23 April, the academy starts with a three-day advanced instructor course designed for experienced group fitness instructors who want to improve skills and fast track their career. It aims to give attendees sound advice on promoting themselves and building a viable fitness business.
Further features of the course include choreography knowledge, presentation and performance skills and marketing and self-promotion.
Delegates will then get the chance to impress the judges with their presenting skills at Audition Day on 8 May, from which four instructors will be selected to take part in the final at the YMCA Fitness Weekender at Camber Sands in September.
The finalists will also receive guidance and presenting opportunities leading up to the event.
The ultimate winner will have the chance to present in national fitness events, appear in two Action UK videos and will receive a year’s sponsorship with Action Interactive music. Details: +44 (0)20 8365 2186 or www.actionukonline.com
