£90m bid for Man City
Former Manchester City player Ray Ranson has reportedly made a £90m offer for the Premiership club.
In a Stock Exchange statement, Ranson confirmed that he has made “indicative proposals” to the club concerning a possible offer, but “is yet to receive a positive response from the board”.
It went on to say that Ranson is currently considering making a further proposal to the club’s board and said that he “recognises that the club is heavily indebted and his business plan is not dependent on leveraging the club further”.
Ranson’s financial partner in the approach has been disclosed the board, but not made public as yet.
The club has also reportedly attracted interest from former Thailand prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra and American investors.
