Willink Leisure Centre boasts a 25 metre, 4 lane Swimming Pool, 26 station ‘Expressions’ Fitness Gym, Sports Hall, Astroturf & other outdoor facilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop within the leisure industry.

We are seeking a driven and enthusiastic individual who is looking to progress their career into management. This role will be adapted to fit you and your skills to ensure you reach your goals. You will oversee the centre operation and support the management team in the day-to-day running of the centre and in addition you’ll be involved in numerous activities and programs on offer. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to develop within the leisure industry.

The Opportunity
As a Duty Manager you will be trained to demonstrate full competence in the following areas; Financial reporting, processes and procedures, HR policies, procedures and practice, operational monitoring, facilities management and maintenance, customer service, sales and marketing.

The Person
Experience and knowledge of the fitness, leisure or health industries is advantageous and ideally, the successful candidate will hold a degree in Sports or similar. As well as hold a valid National Pool Lifeguard Qualification or have the swimming ability to gain one .

Applications from candidates who hold a BTEC or HND and have experience in a leadership role are also welcomed.

Windsor Leisure Centre is a flagship site with a 25 metre, 6 lane swimming pool, large family leisure pool with waves, 150 station ‘Expressions’ Gym, Health suite, group fitness studios, conference rooms, retail outlets, 8 court Sports Hall, cafe, All weather pitch & other indoor facilities.

The Opportunity
Reporting to the Centre Manager, the successful candidate will have a passion for delivering customer excellence. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation of the centre including health and safety, customer care, financial procedures and leading and managing multiple departments. The posts include evenings and weekends, worked over 40 hours per week. Each Duty Manager post is subject to its own agreed responsibilities.

The Person
An NPLQ or First Aid at Work certificate are essential and a Pool Plant Operators qualification is desirable as well as a recognised Leisure Management qualification.

The successful candidate should have previous knowledge of the leisure industry and a good level of experience of working in a very busy wet/dry facility. Excellent communication skills, flexibility and a total commitment to customer service are essential. Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of this role.

We are looking to recruit a Fitness Instructor for Riverside Leisure Centre which is the flagship centre within the contract. Located in the heart of Exeter, Riverside Leisure Centre boasts great facilities including a 90 station gym, Queenax functional training studio, over 100 instructor led and virtual group exercise classes, indoor cycling studios, 6 court sports hall and 2 squash courts.

We are looking for an individual with a positive attitude and plenty of enthusiasm to play an active role on the Gym floor. To be successful in this role you will need an engaging and honest personality with a natural ability to build strong relationships, put people at ease as well as a "can-do" attitude, and be willing to work variable hours, including some evening and weekends. It is essential that you hold a Level 2 Fitness Instructor or Level 3 Personal Trainer certificate. It will be desirable if you hold Level 3 Exercise Referral qualification so that you can help deliver our Steps to Health Exercise Referral programme. Some of the responsibilities of the role include (but are not limited to):
Establishing and maintaining excellent relationships with our customers and potential customers
Supervising activities in the Gym and operating the equipment in a manner consistent with safe working practice
Undertaking all day-to-day cleaning and maintenance of the equipment and fittings
Devising and delivering fitness programmes

The role is very hands on, including grounds maintenance works plus event set up and pack up.

We are a regional athletics track which comes with high standards, we host events for junior school sports days to national events.

The Swimming Pool Complex hosts an International 50m, 10-lane competition pool; This pool incorporates two booms, which when raised can subdivide the area into a 10-lane 25m short-course competition pool along with two additional 25m training pools both with movable floors giving the site unprecedented programmed flexibility.

The venue also boasts spectacular separate Leisure Pool, incorporating a beach area, flumes, space bowl, lazy river and bubble lounger along with a warm up/cool down 25m pool making the complex the largest swimming facility in the UK.

As well as the fantastic swimming facilities there is also a superb Fitness Centre incorporating a 130 Station Gym, Health Suite, Spin Studio, Dance Studio, Brand new state of the art Queenax gym as well as a café area.
