YogaBugs aiming for national accreditation
YogaBugs Ltd is working with Active IQ in order to develop a nationally accredited qualification.
The company has trained instructors to deliver fun creative stories to children aged 2.5-7 years. During the classes the kids ride on magic carpets, fly on mystical birds and take space rockets to the moon and they are always the heroes of the adventure.
Yoga'd Up classes are taught to 8-12 year olds and integrate creative, themed classes which include fun interactive and contemporary topics, yoga challenges and partner work.
Both age groups benefit from valuable breathing and relaxation techniques and yoga helps to lay healthier foundations for children for the rest of their lives.
New government initiatives and funding programmes have meant that the demand for teachers in nursery and primary schools has increased hugely.
YogaBugs has therefore launched a regional network structure to facilitate sourcing and operating classes all over the country.
It is working together with Active IQ to get accreditation for their courses on the National Qualifications Framework and are looking for suitable candidates who may be interested in running their own Management Franchises in their region.
Debra Stuart, Executive Director of Active IQ, says: "Active IQ is committed to developing qualifications which provide individuals with the essential knowledge and skills required to encourage more people, to become more active, more often in a safe, effective and enjoyable environment."
