Job description:
Following the award by the London Borough of Hounslow for the delivery of a National Standard Cycle Training Scheme to schools throughout the borough, Parkwood Outdoors is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join and lead the team of Bikeability Instructors.

As the Cycle Training Manager you will help achieve the vision of doubling the cycling participation in The London Borough of Hounslow by 2026.

Your key responsibilities will be;

The successful delivery of Bikeability, Balanceability and various other cycling programmes.

Establishing strong working relationships with the Primary schools within the London Borough of Hounslow

Handling course paperwork including risk assessments, registers and consent forms
Safety and welfare of both colleagues and trainees

Correct and timely reporting of course numbers and awarded individuals

To ensure all training is delivered to the highest standards in compliance with both National Standards and company policy

The successful candidate will also be required to co-ordinate all aspects of the cycling programme ensuring all cyclists are safe and enjoy their experience. Candidates will be passionate about cycling, with ideally the appropriate cycling qualification, although training can be provided for the right candidate. Experience in coordinating a team of staff using a positive leadership style is essential and you will be a confident communicator who can deal with children and adults at all levels.

An enhanced DBS will be required for this role.

This role is adapted to fit you and your skills to ensure you reach your goal. You will oversee the centre operation and support the management team in the day-to-day running. In addition you’ll be involved in numerous activities and programs on offer. As a Trainee Duty Manager you will be trained to demonstrate full competence in the following areas; Financial reporting, processes and procedures, HR policies, procedures and practise, Operational monitoring, facilities management and maintenance, and Customer service, sales and marketing. Experience and knowledge of the fitness, leisure or health industries is advantageous. Ideally the successful candidate will hold a degree in Sports or similar, but BTEC and HND courses are accepted, as well as, previous experience in similar roles.

We are looking for an experienced dance teacher to deliver Ballet, Street Dance or Contemporary dance lessons.

Located in a stunning setting in Cardiff Bay this flagship £23m facility opened in January 2008 and has facilities for all the family. The Swimming Pool Complex hosts an International 50m, 10-lane competition pool; This pool incorporates two booms, which when raised can subdivide the area into a 10-lane 25m short-course competition pool along with two additional 25m training pools both with moveable floors giving the site unprecedented programme flexibility.

The venue also boasts a spectacular separate Leisure water, incorporating a beach area, flumes, space bowl, lazy river and bubble lounger along with a warm up/cool down 25m pool making the complex the largest swimming facility in the UK.

As well as the fantastic swimming facilities there is also a superb Fitness Centre incorporating a new state-of-the-art 130 station Gym, Health Suite, and two Dance Studio’s, as well as a café/bar area.

An opportunity has arisen to appoint Sway Dance Instructors to deliver our Sway Dance sessions to children between 2 and 15 years old. Sway Dance is an energetic dance brand that offers excellent teaching in an environment where smiling is as important to us as the dancing itself. We feel that enjoyment is the very foundations which make Sway Dance so special.

We are looking for teachers to deliver Street Dance, Ballet or Contemporary Dance.

The role will report directly to the Fitness & Sway Dance Manager and will involve taking classes within the Centre as and when required to cover sickness and annual leave. We also run classes in local primary schools, so you may be required to deliver classes from Primary Schools also.

Please be aware that you will need to be able to travel to the Primary Schools. The current school we deliver classes at is Whitchurch Primary.

The candidate must have previous experience within a dance teaching background.

The activities at Mulberry are wide ranging and include the operation of the School premises and a Community Use Sports Centre in the evening and weekend.

We are currently looking for a full time Facility Assistant. You will be flexible, reliable possess good communication skills and enjoy working as part of a team.

You will ensure the highest possible standards of health and safety and customer care working across two education facilities in East London. You will be responsible for a variety of duties and will be required to work on a shift rota basis, including the opening and closing of the facilities. There will be some general handyman responsibilities to be undertaken on a day to day basis to maintain the facilities to the highest standard.

The successful candidate will be able to use their own initiative as well as work within an established team and be reliable to report accurate feedback on building defects to the Facilities Manager. Knowledge and experience in dealing with plumbing and electrical issues is desirable, as would a qualification in Health & Safety.

North Solihull Sports Centre are seeking Casual Lifeguards.

We require individuals who are self-motivated and have high standards. With good time management and the ability to use initiative, the successful applicants will have energy and enthusiasm.

The role of a lifeguard requires an enthusiastic, responsible and hardworking individual to supervise a wide variety of swimming sessions, maintain the centres’ high standards of cleanliness and assist with general day to day operations. Our lifeguards are on hand to ensure our members are having a great time using our facilities whilst overseeing their poolside safety at all times.

The successful Lifeguard will have:
A UK recognised pool lifeguard qualification
Knowledge of health and safety legislation
Have previous experience of working in the Leisure Industry- this is not essential.
The ability to work proactively and flexibly within the team and work on own initiative.
Excellent communication skills
Experience of dealing with a range of customer queries/concerns in a professional manner.
Be willing to work shifts, including evenings and weekends

Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of this role.

This position requires a DBS disclosure and the ideal candidate must hold a valid NPLQ certificate, have excellent communications skills and have a high level of customer service. .
