An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Hengrove Park Leisure Centre as a receptionist.

Situated in South Bristol, Hengrove Park Leisure Centre is a state of the art leisure facility with a 50 Metre International Pool, Teaching Pool, Indoor Sports Hall, Climbing Wall, 180 station Health and Fitness Suite, Group Exercise Studios, Health Suite and large Cafe. The Centre generates in excess of ½ million visits per annum and has a Health & Fitness Membership base in excess of 4,000.

The successful applicant will be a personable, enthusiastic and outgoing individual with an understanding of customer expectations

The successful applicant must have experience in customer service, Knowledge of reception processes, strong organisational skills, good time management, A customer service qualification is desirable for this position but not essential

Buxton Pavilion Gardens is soon to be part of the Parkwood Leisure group, due to an immediate vacancy Parkwood Leisure is looking for an experienced Head Chef to start this exciting contract in January 2019.
The position of Head Chef for Buxton Pavilion Gardens requires strong leadership, the desire and ability to make a difference, a passion for food and solid organisational skills. The Head Chef will manage the quality and standard of food, profitability and the day to day operation of the kitchen. As part of the senior team this role will influence the success of the hospitality operation at Buxton Pavilion Gardens, including the recently relaunched Octagon.

Regular evening and weekend work will be undertaken and the successful candidate will also be responsible for the training of a team of kitchen and operational staff to ensure exemplary customer service standards are consistently delivered. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.
Relevant education and industry qualifications will be considered essential to the successful execution of the role. Health and Safety is a vital focus for the company and the Head Chef will have the appropriate level of training and qualification commensurate with managing a large kitchen operation. Additional training will also be provided for any specialist IT systems in use at the venue.

Kidlington & Gosford Leisure Centre is a busy joint use facility that is part of the Cherwell Contract in North Oxfordshire. The centres fitness facilities consisting of a 55 station gym, large functional training facility, health suite, activity hall for classes as well as a spinning room.

We are seeking a driven individual to lead our fitness team to provide excellent levels of customer service. This is a key management position within the Centre for an individual with a passion for health & fitness and able to motivate the fitness team in their operational duties.

Duties will include the day to day management of the health & fitness section enhancing the customer experience of the facilities, developing the programme, exceeding sales targets, managing KPI’s for the section as well as being an active member of the fitness team. You will work on a shift rota which includes early mornings, evenings and weekends working 40 hours per week.

It is essential that the right candidate has a level 3 or above Fitness Instructor qualification. Desirable requisites include: a GP Referral qualification and First Aid, together with a selection of Group Fitness Qualifications. The post holder also will preferably hold a recognised management qualification in a Leisure or Business related subject.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic individual looking to progress their career into management. You will oversee the centre operation and support the management team and in addition you’ll be involved in the numerous activities and programmes on offer.

As a Duty Manager you will be responsible for the day to day operation of the centre, and will be trained to demonstrate full competence in the following areas; financial reporting, processes and procedures, HR policies and procedures, operational monitoring, facilities management and maintenance, and customer service, sales and marketing. You will also be expected to carry out lifeguarding duties.

You will need to be passionate about health, fitness and delivering excellent customer service. Previous experience in managing staff in a leisure environment and knowledge of the fitness, leisure or health industries is advantageous. Ideally, the successful candidate will hold a degree in Sports or similar and a First Aid at Work qualification is desirable, however training will be provided.

The Palace Cinema is one of the oldest cinemas in the north-west. We are a single-screen, independent cinema showing a range of new releases, classic, family and arthouse films. We offer a warm, welcoming and affordable cinema experience. It’s now six months since our re-opening and we are looking to expand bar and catering offering and are looking for a new Evening Manager to ensure that our reputation for excellent customer service continues as we grow. You will be need a passion for working with the public, will be a self-starter, able to manage others and enjoy talking about and working with food and drink.

Responsibilities will include:

Supervising ticket, food and bar sales
Being responsible for fire procedures
Supervising opening and closing cleaning procedures and associated paperwork.
Promoting and organising food and drinks for special events, which may be film related.
Ensuring that the catering area is kept clean and that all health and safety procedures are followed correctly.
Inductions and training of front of house staff.
Stock management.
Dealing with customer queries and reservations and managing any complaints.
Cashing up and end of day accounts.
Ensuring that the films are run correctly and in a timely manner.
