This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to embark on a career in the leisure industry at a busy modern facility, with an international spec swimming pool.

The Opportunity

Working as part of an enthusiastic team and reporting to the Duty Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day operation of the centre including operational set ups and takedowns, Lifeguarding, health and safety compliance checks and customer care.

Additional responsibilities such as delivering swimming lessons and supporting the administration of the swimming lesson scheme will be required.
Successful applicants will be provided with full training in all aspects of this role.

Includes evenings and weekend working 40 hours per week.

The Person
- The successful candidate should have previous knowledge of the leisure industry and experience of working in a busy wet/dry facility.
- Excellent communication skills, flexibility and a commitment to customer service are essential.
- You will be a team player, and self-motivated with a willingness to learn
- A National Pool Lifeguard Qualification, First Aid at Work certificate, Pool Plant Operators qualification is desirable as well as a recognised Leisure Management qualification.
- Training to achieve these qualifications will be provided.

Buxton Pavilion Gardens is operated by the Parkwood Leisure group on behalf of High Peak Borough Council, due to the expansion of the venue Parkwood Leisure is looking for an experienced Head Chef to lead the kitchen team to deliver our exciting vision for the venue.

The Opportunity
The position of Executive Head Chef for Buxton Pavilion Gardens requires a true leader, the desire and ability to make a difference, a passion for food and robust organisational skills, focussing on details. The Executive Head Chef will oversee and take direct responsibility for the quality and standard of food, profitability and inspiring and motivating a team of chefs including a Head Chef to deliver the day to day operation of the kitchen. As part of the senior team this role will influence the success of the hospitality operation at Buxton Pavilion Gardens, including the recently relaunched Octagon.

Regular evening and weekend work will be undertaken and the successful candidate will also be responsible for the training of a team of kitchen and operational staff to ensure exemplary customer service standards are consistently delivered. Excellent communication and presentation skills are essential.

The Person
Relevant education and industry qualifications will be considered essential to the successful execution of the role. Health and Safety is a vital focus for the company and the Executive Head Chef will have the appropriate level of training and qualification commensurate with managing a large multi site kitchen operation. Additional training will also be provided for any specialist IT systems in use at the venue.

Operations Supervisor
Location: Rufford Abbey Country Park
Salary: £20,000 to £25,000

Parkwood Leisure and its subcontractors currently operate 87 leisure and culture facilities throughout the UK and employ 4,200 staff. Parkwood Leisure is one of the leading leisure management companies in the UK with managed revenue in excess of £80m per annum.

Parkwood Leisure entered the outdoor activity market in 2015 with its purchase of the Parkwood Outdoors Dolygaer Outdoor Centre, located in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Since then, Parkwood Outdoors has grown to include a watersports centre, cycle centre, boating lakes and the management of a country park.

We are looking to recruit an Operations Supervisor to support help deliver the day to day operations at Rufford Abbey Country Park.
Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate will be a part of a team of three positions tasked with ensuring the highest standards are maintained. The role will involve working shifts, being outside and active, managing a diverse range of positions and taking responsibility for the safety and wellbeing of visitors.
Key tasks include:
Ensuring the visitor experience exceeds their expectations
Managing traffic and car park attendants
Managing operations, including adventure golf, archery, boating and outdoor education
Managing cleaners
Supporting events
Ensuring H&S standards are adhered to
Proactive and reactive maintenance
The successful candidate is expected to have at least two years management experience.
