We are currently recruiting a Duty Manager who will be based at Atlantis Sport and Leisure Centre. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Duty Manager is a key player within the team, driving continuous improvement in the management and operation of the Centre. The key focus for the successful candidate will be the ability to motivate the team to deliver consistently high standards of service. You should be quality driven, have sound operational, communication and people skills, be flexible and able to deliver results.

You should have previous supervisory experience and a good understanding of Health and Safety, preferably within a leisure environment. Ideally, you will hold a current First Aid at Work and a National Pool Lifeguard Qualifications.

General Manager

Whilst on shift, you'll oversee a team of lifeguards, who you'll act as a mentor and role model to be responsible for some staff training. Minimum Level 2 qualification in Gym Instruction, previous experience is preferable but not essential. The qualifications to teach basic classes would be beneficial but full training can be given.

Whatever you're doing though, rest assured you'll have all the support of a big, friendly team behind you as well as proper training to give you the confidence and knowledge to do your job well.

You'll need to:
- Be a strong swimmer - you'll have to do a timed swim test before you start
- Be friendly - you'll be helping lots of our customers
- Be hard-working - our leisure centres open weekends and early mornings (don't worry, you won't have to do them all the time!)
- Enjoy learning - we'll train you to get qualifications including a Level 2 NVQ in Leisure Operations and your National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ)
