Job description:
Bordering the Thames in Fulham and set in 42 acres of magnificent grounds, The Hurlingham Club is a green oasis of tradition and international renown. The Fitness team are a large, friendly team responsible for looking after the members and their guests with regards the indoor sports facilities; Racquet and Fitness Centres, Dance Studio, Gym, Indoor Pool, Squash, Treatment room, Crèche as well as the Outdoor Pool in the summer months along with some seasonal outdoor sports activities.

As a Lifeguard, you will work a 37.5 hour week, which will include evenings and weekends. Whether you work at the Outdoor Pool or at the Indoor Pool in the Fitness Centre you will be required to act as a professional lifeguard on poolside and carryout cleaning duties whilst off poolside.

As well as performing these duties whilst you are at the Outdoor Pool, you will also help cover reception where you will be required to deal with members and their guests both face-to-face and over the phone. You will also be expected to help ensure the reception area including the shop is clean and presentable and that shop sales are processed correctly. Whilst you are up at the Fitness Centre you will be required to do set ups in the Dance Studio, help the supervisors as and when required and will assist in keeping Fitness Centre areas clean and tidy.

You must have a valid Lifeguard qualification. Previous experience as a Lifeguard / Pool Attendant is desirable but not essential; you will need to have exceptional customer service skills and be confident whilst staying calm in all circumstances.

Job description:
The Sports Centre at London South Bank University consists of a sports hall, fitness suite, free weights room and treatment room. The University is home to 25,000 students and the Sports Centre has approximately 2,000 members.

The Academy of Sport department is looking for a Duty Officer, reporting to the Operations Manager. Within this role. You will assist in the delivery of fitness inductions and the design and delivery of personal programmes within the sports centre, you will also be required to carry out cleaning and reception duties, including some admin works on Microsoft word and excel.

You must be committed to delivering first class customer service, with significant relevant experience in the fitness industry. You will need appropriate first aid and fitness qualifications and be fully conversant with current Health and Safety legislation. You should also be familiar with the Gladstone MRM booking system and maintaining QUEST accreditation.

As part of a team, you will be required to work a shift pattern that covers the operational hours of the Centre. Here at Kingston College, we are now looking to appoint a Recreation Assistant of Arena Sport to organise, supervise and lead a range of activities and set up, maintain and dismantle equipment. The Level 3 Certificate in Instructing Weight Training is for Instructors/Personal Trainers who have some experience of delivering independent sessions to groups or individuals. The National Pool Plant Operator Certificate is our primary course. It covers everything you need to effectively maintain a swimming pool, spa or water feature.

This course is approved by the Pool Water Treatment Advisory Group (PWTAG). This means that our training is of the highest standard, meeting PWTAG guidelines which are widely viewed as best practice.

You will learn about circulation, filtration, disinfection, pH correction and heating of pool water. You will also learn how to maintain water which is safe and pleasant to swim in, how to correctly test pool water and understand how to restore it to ideal conditions.

The National Pool Plant Operator Certificate lasts for three years.
