Summary
We are seeking energetic and dynamic individuals to join us as Duty Managers on either a permanent full-time contract or a casual contract working within our Springfield Community Campus facility which offers a comprehensive leisure service. The hourly rate for the casual role is £11.41 - £12.35 per hour.

We aim to provide services, projects and activities that deliver positive experiences to a wide range of people utilising sport, physical activity and active lifestyle-based approaches across the county, in leisure centres, sports clubs, community facilities, schools, village halls and recreational spaces.

About the role

As a Duty Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all operational and staff issues in the day to day running of the centre.

You will be undertaking a variety of roles as required to meet operational needs, acting as the primary point for solving customer and staff issues, acting as the key holder for opening/closing the centre and taking responsibility for ensuring the centre remains a safe, smart, fully functioning community space during opening hours.

About you

You will need to be innovative, energetic, an effective leader and have the ability to deal with complex customer and facilities issues.

Ideally, you will hold NPLQ in pool lifeguarding, and a pool plant operator’s qualification, or be able to achieve these within three months.

Supervision of staff and experience in a customer-facing role is essential.

Amesbury sports centre is looking to recruit qualified Class Instructors, specifically to cover circuits, HIIT, bootcamp, kettlebells classes. We are looking for dynamic individuals to deliver structured group fitness sessions which are designed to meet the needs of our customers.

About the role

You will be responsible for teaching safe, fun, and effective exercise classes, consistent with standards set out within our normal operating procedures.

As a Class Instructor you will maintain excellent customer focus at all times, meeting customer expectations and therefore ensuring repeat business. This will include being available to the customers both before and after the sessions to answer queries, motivate and guide.

About you

Do you have the right qualifications, excellent communication skills along with experience of customer care within a leisure environment? If so, we would like to hear from you.

You should possess a valid qualification in specialist activity recognised by the governing professional body or specific group fitness class qualifications such as Zumba, Studio Cycling, Circuits, Pilates, Yoga or Aquafit as well as a Les Mills BTS

Flexibility to cover holidays and sickness at short notice will be required. Depending upon the individual there may be further opportunities to coach other group fitness exercise classes and progress further with on-going continued personal development.

About the role

We are looking for self-employed, fully qualified Personal Trainers to operate their business out of our facility. We offer flexible initial rental arrangements and the ability to offer personal training at other Wiltshire Council leisure facilities at no extra cost. You will be able to recruit additional clients from our members as well as bring in your existing clients at no additional cost.

To be an external Personal Trainer at Wiltshire Council you will have:

• A passion for health and fitness and a real people person
• Outstanding customer service and professionalism
• The ability to work in partnership with other teams where necessary

Candidates must have the following qualifications/Experience:

• Level 3 PT qualification recognised by REP’s or CIMPSPA
• Current First Aid Certificate
• Previous Personal Training experience
• Public Liability Insurance

About you

You will need to have an awareness of safeguarding children and vulnerable adults and be customer focussed with excellent communication skills, with an enthusiastic approach and give a positive and professional image at all times.

Ideally you will have a current NPLQ qualification and experience in a leisure facility, however training/qualifications in these areas may be provided.

Springfield community campus is looking to recruit a Cleaner on a permanent part time basis working 25 hours per week.

About the role

Your role at the leisure centre is to provide an efficient and effective cleaning service whilst ensuring a high standard of cleaning is delivered and maintained.

You will also be required to liaise with the duty officer/key holder regarding stock replenishment and report any faults or issues which prevent cleaning from taking place.

As and when required you may also provide support to the key holder team in other areas of the centre such as reception, catering and children’s activities for example.

About you

You should understand the principles of cleaning techniques and processes, ideally with experience in cleaning in a commercial environment.

Creating a safe environment is an important aspect of cleaning within the leisure centre and you will be responsible for the health and safety of customers and colleagues, as well as your own.
