£4m funding boost for 40 museums
Forty museums and galleries throughout England are to benefit from grants totalling £4m, thanks to a partnership between the Department for Culture, Media and Sport (DCMS) and the Wolfson Foundation Museums and Galleries Improvement Fund.
Venues which will benefit from the grants include the Museum of Costume in Bath, Chatham Historic Dockyard in Kent, the V&A Museum of Childhood in London and Wolverhampton Art Gallery.
The DCMS and Wolfson Foundation funding partnership has awarded £12m to 65 different institutions around the UK since it was set up in 2002. Details: www.culture.gov.uk
