Seven Kings High School in Ilford, Essex, UK, has purchased a 3G synthetic pitch to be used by the school's Physical Education Department and its pupils.

Installed by AMB Sports, the school selected a Tiger Turf 65mm 3G Synthetic Grass surface that is said to provide not only an excellent football surface but also an area that is suitable for general training.

One of the key objectives was to encourage every child to use the facility during breaks and improve participation by local schools during daylight hours.

With a project cost of £318,000, work on installing the pitch commenced in October of 2008 and was completed four months later.

AMB has been responsible for a number of UK-based projects, including Loughbrough University, the Roehampton Club and Crystal Palace Athletics Stadium.
