Alton Towers launches new attraction
Alton Towers has launched a £1m driving adventure attraction for children under the age of 10 years.
The Peugeot 207 Driving School comprises a road adventure course featuring miniature electric versions of the Peugeot 207.
Children can choose their own route and attempt to tackle traffic lights, roundabouts and crossroads as well as more quirky features such as a bubble-blasting car wash and evading of gigantic hedgehogs rambling over a zebra crossing.
An advanced section allows drivers to test their skills on a slalom challenge and gain an Alton Towers driving licence.
In addition, Alton Towers Hotel is set to launch the UK’s first ‘sleepover suite’ on 7 July. The six-person, sound-proofed guest suite will cater for 7 to 14-year-old girls on a sleepover party.
The suite will comprise bright pink chill-out beds, a home entertainment system, a plasma TV, a mini-dance floor and a karaoke area as well as a pink fridge filled with ice cream and chocolate. Details: www.altontowers.com
