Anson and Jagger appointed to BOA board
Andy Anson, chief executive officer of England's 2018 FIFA World Cup bid, and commercial lawyer Denise Jagger have been appointed to the British Olympic Association's (BOA) board.
In addition to his role with England's failed World Cup bid, Anson has also worked at the ATP men's professional tennis tour and Manchester United Football Club. Meanwhile, Jagger comes from a background in corporate finance and was also a member of the executive team that helped revive Asda before its acquisition by US-based Walmart.
BOA chair Colin Moynihan said: "Both Denise and Andy bring strong assets to complement the existing skill set of the Board. "In particular, their expertise in the legal and commercial fields will add great value to our strategic planning to ensure that long-term partnerships are developed successfully beyond the London 2012 Olympic Games."
