Arsenal and Liverpool clean up
Arsenal and Liverpool football clubs have linked up with Coca-Cola to clean up around their stadiums with a scheme called Sweeper Zone.
The initiative aims to liaise with local councils and community groups to clear the areas around the football grounds of all litter and graffiti.
Coke, who is funding the scheme, will have branded litter bins around the grounds. If the scheme is successful the company plans to roll it out to other clubs in the UK.
Arsenal's football administrator, Michael O'Brien, hopes the project will improve relationships between Arsenal Football Club and the local authority and local community by providing a focus for local regeneration. He said: 'Arsenal are pleased to be involved at the heart of a national initiative to change attitudes towards environment and community pride.'
