Arts facility for Clitheroe
A new youth, music and arts centre is set to open this October in Clitheroe.
The facility, which will specialise in media, music and the arts, will be housed in a Grade II-listed former cinema called The Grand, which is undergoing complete renovation.
It will comprise a cyber café, auditorium, recording studios, dance studio and rehearsal rooms.
It will also offer a range of educational and health care programmes to the public.
The centre will be operated by Oasis UK, a London-based charity which aims to transform individuals and communities. Projects include training for professional youth workers and volunteers, housing support programmes for vulnerable young people, and mentoring and transition work for hard-to-reach teenagers.
