Arts group announces Selfridges exhibition
Action Space, the London-based visual arts groups for people with learning disabilities, is to work with The Museum of Everything on a new exhibition at Selfridges department store.
Exhibition #4 will launch on 2 September at the retailer, with 50-self-taught disabled artists' to see pieces go on show in the store's windows on Oxford Street and the Ultralounge. The Workshops of Everything will be delivered by Action Space alongside Exhibition #4 - allowing learning disabled artists to create their own work within a supportive atmosphere.
Cass Arts will support the workshops and is providing materials and art supplies for those interested in attending the events. Action Space chair Angus Anderson said: "[This project] will show the world how exceptionally talented learning disabled people can be."
