Aston Villa Football Club has begun the redevelopment of the club’s training facilities at Bodymoor Heath.
The work is estimated to cost the club around £8m and work is scheduled to be completed within three years.
The first phase of the finished – due to be completed by the beginning of the 2006-07 season – will include the construction of four new full-size pitches and 15 changing rooms as well as a health and fitness suite boasting a swimming pool, hot and cold plunge pools and submersion treadmills.
The second phase will include offices, dining rooms and conference space.
In total, the redevelopment will cover around 80,000sq ft (7,400sq m). Details: www.avfc.co.uk
