At-Bristol chief executive to step down
At-Bristol chief executive Dr Goéry Delacôte is to step down from the position in order to become president and chief scientific advisor of the UK science attraction in April 2012.
Since his appointment as chief executive in 2005, Delacôte has helped the science centre to become one of the leading attractions of its kind in the UK. At-Bristol chair Alan Moore said: "Myself and the trustees are indebted to Goéry for having successfully steered At-Bristol, creating a successful organisation very focussed on its mission.
"We are delighted that Goéry will take on a new role of president and chief scientific advisor, continuing to represent At-Bristol within the international science communication field and becoming At-Bristol's science advisor." Moore added that the search for the attraction's new chief executive will start immediately in order to ensure an orderly transition in April 2012.
