YMCAfit has teamed up with Healthworks ABM to deliver a new YMCA Active Back Management Instructor training course for instructors who want to learn effective exercise interventions for clients with chronic back pain.

Developed by the director of Healthworks ABM Ltd Liz Kelly – a leading expert in the active management of chronic low back pain – the two-day module is held at the Central YMCA Club in London.

According to Kelly, almost 50 percent of the UK population suffer from chronic low back pain and there is strong evidence that physical activity can be an effective way of preventing and managing this condition.
