Baldwin to head up Keepmoat Stadium
Gavin Baldwin has been appointed chief executive of Keepmoat Stadium.
“Following a successful interim period, Gavin’s expertise in the leisure and commercial sectors has proven invaluable and he will continue in his dual role as both chief executive of the Doncaster Dome and of the Keepmoat Stadium,” said Ian Dickinson, Interim Chair of the Stadium Management Company.
“Gavin’s insight into the leisure industry in Doncaster will be particularly helpful in the wider review that is expected to take place shortly.”
Under Balwin’s leadership, Doncaster Dome has won Best Managed Leisure Facility in the UK, the Flame Awards ‘Spirit of the Flame’ and achieved a Quest score putting the Dome in the top three leisure facilities in the country.
“I am delighted to be able to continue with the work that has taken place over the last few months at the stadium,” he said.
“This is a wonderful venue for Doncaster and while there are undoubtedly still challenges to be faced I am confident that by working strategically and in partnership with others we can make a real difference.
“I’m looking forward to continuing to work with everyone here to help the venue realise its full potential as a well loved and well used community stadium.”
