Blackpool Pleasure Beach extends the Big Blue
Blackpool Pleasure Beach has unveiled plans to extend the Big Blue Hotel with the addition of a new club wing next year.
The hotel, which opened in May 2003, is to add a further 40 bedrooms adjoining the existing building: including four luxurious penthouse suites, 12 family rooms and 24 double rooms.
Stockport-based Multibuild will be working with John Bray of architecture and interior design firm Allison Pike Partnership under the leadership of Pleasure Beach managing director Amanda Thompson and Big Blue Hotel director John Mawdsley.
Work is scheduled to begin on the club wing in November and it is expected to open in June 2005.
