The Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment (CABE), the government’s advisor on architecture, urban design and public space, has announced the winners of its Festive Five awards.
The awards are given to five individuals, five public sector organisations and five private companies, whose projects have “set the standards for design in 2007”.
The leisure industry was well represented in the awards, with the River Nene Regional Park in Northamptonshire; the V&A Museum of Childhood in London; the National Maritime Museum in London and the Mind The Gap Theatre in Bradford all picking up commendations. Details: www.cabe.org.uk
