CIBTAC give employers what they really want

The Confederation of International Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (CIBTAC) has launched a diploma in spa therapy which, it says, aims to equip industry entrants with the skills employers ‘truly value’.

The new certificate has three levels, including introductory, theoretical and advanced, covering all aspects of spa treatments and operations. Water therapies feature strongly, as do aromatherapy, reflexology and stress management.

Kay Judd, education director, says: “We have not fallen into the trap of making our diploma management-led, because our dialogue with the industry clearly indicates that what the industry needs is competent technicians in a wide range of therapies.” Details: +44 (0)1452 421114
