Calgary stampedes to Brass Ring success
The International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA) has announced the winners of its annual marketing awards.
The Brass Ring Awards honour visitor attraction operators in ten different categories – including best integrated campaign, media kits, tv commercials, websites and print advertisements.
The Calgary Exhibit & Stampede in Alberta, Canada, celebrated a record haul after being given four awards for its marketing campaigns.
The not-for profit attraction picked up the top gong in its category for the best integrated marketing campaign, best media kit, best outdoor signage and best PR campaign.
This year's other winners included Legoland California (best print advertisement for parks with more than 2 million visitors a year), Blackpool Pleasure Beach (best radio commercial) and Ocean Park, Honk Kong, (best website).
