Casino resort for Russia
South African-based leisure, gaming and hospitality group Sun International has finalised its plans for an integrated casino resort development on the outskirts of Moscow, Russia.
Phase one of the proposed project will comprise around 1,000 hotel rooms, a casino, an international convention centre, summer and winter sporting facilities (including Russia’s first PGA-rated championship golf course), restaurants and a spa.
Additional facilities may include Waterworld and Motorworld theme parks, international concert venues, bio-domes and a nature preserve for deer and other Russian wildlife.
Howard “Butch” Kerzner, president of Sun International, died earlier this month in a helicopter accident in the Dominican Republic. Details: www.suninternational.com
