Changes at the top for Cedar Fair
C. Thomas Harvie has been appointed non-executive, independent chair of the board of directors of Cedar Fair Entertainment, effective immediately.
He succeeds Dick Kinzel as the company's chair, Kinzel having relinquished the position in response to shareholder support of a proposal concerning the separation of the chair and chief executive roles. Kinzel will remain as president and CEO until his contract expires in January 2012.
Harvie has served as an independent director of Cedar Fair since 2008 and chairs the corporate governance committee and the CEO succession planning committee.
