Martin Skan, founder of the Chewton Glen hotel, country club and spa in Hampshire, UK, was recently given a Lifetime Achievement Award by the AA at its Annual Awards Lunch.

Commenting on the award, Skan – who retired earlier this year – said: “I feel very flattered and honoured to receive this very prestigious award. Chewton Glen has been very kind to us and enabled us to meet so many special people, both within the industry and among the many guests who have come to the hotel over the years.”

A private presentation will be made to Skan at Chewton Glen on 2 November.
