Chewton Glen to shut for renovation

Chewton Glen hotel and spa will close for a week early next year for the installation of a new kitchen for its award-winning Marryat restaurant, headed by chef Luke Matthews.

The entire hotel and spa will be closed between 2-8 January 2005, during which refurbishment work will also take place at the hotel’s Lake Suite.

Located in New Milton, Hampshire, the 33-room hotel has a 3,500sq ft spa, offering a range of 50 treatments in 10 treatment rooms.

Other facilities include a nine-hole golf course, a practice range, two indoor and two outdoor tennis courts, an outdoor swimming pool, a croquet lawn and putting green.
