China attractions show postponed due to SARS
The China Attractions & Theme Parks Summit, due to take place in Shanghai on 10-11 April, has been postponed to early June due to concerns over the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak.
Organiser, Global Integrated Solutions announced the summit was to be pushed back 'based on the concerns of our attending speakers, delegates and sponsors'.
Eileen Xiao, senior project manager, said: 'This decision was made to safeguard the interests of our speakers and the people attending the summit in Shanghai.
'It is also in line with the travel advisories to China issued by the World Health Organisation and the US Public Health Service, which have both recommended that non-essential travel be postponed until further notice.'
Exact dates for the rescheduled summit have yet to be confirmed.
Attractions Management and Leisure Management magazines are the official foreign media for the summit.
