Winners of the Fitness Industry Association’s (FIA) Commit to Get Fit Awards 2005 – which recognise clubs and centres involved in the FIA’s annual fitness and membership-boosting campaign – were announced on 27 October.

Coaching Station, Xpect Health and Fitness and Queensmead Sport Centre converted the most participants to full membership, while the highest number of enrolments were at Lifestyle Health and Leisure, Central YMCA and Highgrove Pool.

The awards for sites that raised the most money for the FIA appointed charity, the Cystic Fibrosis Trust, were presented by Commonwealth and Olympic silver medalist, Mark Richardson and went to Foundation Fitness, The Fitness Centre and Queensmead Sport Centre.

Thanet Leisureforce won the FIA award for excellence. Details: www.fia.org.uk
