Crerar signs contract for five more hotels
Edinburgh-based hotel management company Crerar Hotels has agreed a deal to operate and manage five hotels owned by PRUPIM – the asset management arm of Prudential.
The new additions are the Golf View Hotel in Nairn; The Old Manor in Lundin Links, Fife; The Learmonth Hotel in Edinburgh; The Hotel St Nicholas in Scarborough; and The Plough & Harrow in Birmingham.
The deal is the second major agreement for Crerar in the New Year – it signed a deal to manage seven former Swallow sites on 2 January – and increases Crerar’s managed site portfolio to 33.
Paddy Crerar, chief executive, hinted that the two recent deals would see the company slow down its immediate expansion plans and rather concentrate on developing its existing sites.
He said: “Further expansion would be considered if the right opportunity is available but what I want to focus on now is consolidating the estate, getting the staff fully onboard with our way of working and producing the results we know we are capable of.” www.crerarhotels.com
