The £7.5m Crosby Lakeside Adventure Centre has opened to the public.
The water sports facility, designed by architect Owen Ellis, is set around 40 hectares and includes a £120,000, 40-station fitness suite equipped by Life Fitness.
Other amenities at the centre include an integrates water sports provision with educational facilities, a conference centre, a café and a restaurant/bar, and residential accommodation for people with disabilities.
The centre was funded by Sefton Council in partnership with ERDF Objective 1 Fund (£2m), Learning & Skills Council (£500,000) and Sport England (£815,000).
