Designed as a scalable, premium brand, Èliva responds to growing demand for meaningful, experience-driven wellbeing, seamlessly integrating across resort, retreat, and urban hotel environments

Salter Brothers Hospitality (SBH) has revealed a new spa brand, Èliva, which it plans to roll out across four luxury properties in Australia this year.

The concept is built around pillars of rest, recovery and invigoration. The approach to wellness involves restoring equilibrium through sensory-led environments, restorative treatments and evidence-based practices. Therapies will be enhanced with advanced technology, personalised movement sessions and mindful rituals.

Each location will feature a Herbal Ritual Bar for oil-blending workshops, thermal spaces, recovery lounges, and PEMF technology.

Wellness designer and consultant Jessica Kershaw worked on the concept, which is said to shift away from a traditional treatment-led model to a "cohesive wellness experience". She focused on wellness strategy, concept development and operational planning for the new brand.

Kershaw told Spa Business: "At the heart of the concept is a highly personalised treatment approach, anchored by the signature Èliva Herbal Oil Bar. Every treatment begins with a bespoke oil consultation, where guests select from a curated range of organic Èliva oils, blended to suit their needs and intent for the day. This ensures that no two treatments are the same, and create a ritual that is both sensorial and results-driven."

Kate Greenwood, creative director for brand and design at SBH told Spa Business about the plan for expansion: “At a time when wellness-led travel is accelerating worldwide, Èliva emerges as a timely and compelling proposition for the luxury hospitality sector. Blending holistic wellbeing with world-class hospitality, Èliva represents a future-focused approach to luxury, anchored in innovation, diversification and sustained growth, as it expands in collaboration with leading hotel brands across Australia.

“Designed as a scalable, premium brand, it responds to growing demand for meaningful, experience-driven wellbeing, seamlessly integrating across resort, retreat, and urban hotel environments,” added Greenwood.

“For partners, Èliva offers more than a spa concept. It is a strategic platform to enhance asset value, elevate guest experience, and drive long-term performance. Its flexible model allows for a distinctive wellness offering that aligns with the evolving expectations of today’s global traveller.

In terms of scaling beyond Australia, Greenwood said: “This year, Èliva will unveil four new destinations across Australia, each shaped by the brand’s considered approach to wellness, design and experience. Looking ahead, the focus remains on deepening this presence locally while exploring new opportunities internationally.”

Hungarian skincare brand Omorovicza is a treatment partner for the Èliva brand. Greenwood said of this collaboration, “Omorovicza is rooted in Budapest’s historic thermal bathing culture, drawing on centuries of mineral-rich healing waters. This gives it an authenticity that aligns naturally with Èliva’s own focus on thermal wellness and ritual-led experiences. The brand combines advanced skincare science with highly tactile, sensorial formulations. This balance mirrors Èliva’s approach – where results-driven treatments are delivered through deeply immersive, restorative experiences.

Stephen de Heinrich, co-founder of Omorovicza, said: “As a brand born in Budapest – the international spa city – treatments are at the very heart of who we are. Steeped in the curative traditions of Hungary's thermal baths and featuring our signature facial massage, the Magyar Method, our therapies are designed to lift, sculpt and define the facial contour.

“Èliva represents the new generation of luxury spa experiences: modern, elevated and results-driven,” added de Heinrich. “We are thrilled to bring the essence of Omorovicza to Australia and invite guests to discover mineral-charged skincare from Budapest in this beautiful new setting."

Èliva Bowral

The first location, Èliva Bowral, has made its debut at the SBH hotel called Ardour Milton Park Bowral, in New South Wales. Ardour Hotels and Estates is SBH’s newest luxury, retreat-style hospitality brand. Greenwood also worked on the development of this brand.

The property’s existing day spa was renovated to create Èliva Bowral, which has five treatment rooms – three of which can accommodate couples’ therapies.

The spa also has a steamroom, sauna, mineral pool and a relaxation lounge. There is also a reception, retail area, gym and Pilates studio.

The spa is open to hotel and day guests.

Future locations

Future locations for the brand include Èliva Coogee Beach at the InterContinental Coogee Beach and Èliva Blue Mountains at Ardour Lilianfels Blue Mountains.

Èliva Coogee Beach

Èliva Coogee Beach will launch on 1 May at the InterContinental Sydney Coogee Beach, in New South Wales. This hotel is owned by IHG and Salter Brothers as part of a strategic partnership. This newly-built spa will be the Australian flagship for the Èliva brand.

The facility will have a reception, courtyard and retail space that includes an area for the signature Herbal Ritual Bar.

There will be five treatment rooms, one of which is a couple’s suite.

Thermal facilities will include a salt sauna, infrared sauna and an ice flake fountain – all supplied by Saunasphere. There will also be two vitamin C showers. Three external mineral pools – one hot and two warm ones – and two cold plunge pools have also been installed by Stoked.

The relaxation area will have seven beds, including a vibro-acoustic bed, static relaxation beds with options for additional PEMF mats, lymphatic compression boots and LED mask therapies.

The treatment beds and vibro-acoustic bed have been supplied by Oakworks.

Omorovicza treatments at this property include various massages, including the Èliva Bespoke facial. This is a 90-minute therapy that costs AUS$350 (US$228, €210, £179), which includes a consultation, LED therapy, the use of derma globes during the brand’s traditional Hungarian facial massage.

The treatment is designed to lift, sculpt and tone the facial muscles. An added retail incentive included in the treatment price is that AUS$50 (US$33, €30, £26) from the total can be redeemed against an Omorovicza product worth AUS$120 (US$78, €72, £61) and above.

Èliva Blue Mountains

Èliva Blue Mountains at Ardour Lilianfels Blue Mountains, in Katoomba, New South Wales, will be the third launch for the brand later this year. It is a full renovation of the existing spa facility at the property and more details will be announced soon.

Kershaw added: "A broader pipeline of locations is currently in development, with each site tailored to its setting while maintaining a consistent brand framework. The ambition is to build a portfolio of distinctive, high-performing wellness destinations rather than replicate a standardised spa model."
