Derbyshire play schemes to move forward
More than £375,000 is to be invested by Derbyshire County Council (DCC) to construct 10 new children's play areas across the county.
The council has made a funding package available to allow the sites to be created after work was suspected when the government reviewed the Playbuilder programme. New play areas are planned for areas including Pinxton; Chesterfield; Shipley Country Park; Long Eaton and Swadlincote, as well as Shirebrook; Glossop; and North Wingfield.
A total of 13 play areas - including Shuttlewood; Darley Dale; and Ashbourne - have already been built as a result of the Playbuilder scheme.
