Disabled access at Waterfront Complex
The Waterfront Complex in Greenock, Inverclyde has undergone a major refurbishment programme to increase gym facilities and ensure disabled access.
The £17m complex has turned one of its ice rinks into a 150-station gym, which overlooks the River Clyde.
Owner of the site, Inverclyde Leisure, has built the new gym in a bid to capitalise on the growth of the health and fitness market in Scotland. Emphasis has been placed on making the gym accessible for every potential customer.
'We believe that fitness is for all, not just certain sectors of the public, so we made the gym accessible to encourage people from all walks of life to use the facilities,' said John Higgins, chief executive at Inverclyde Leisure.
