Droitwich hotel operator enters receivership
The Impney Group, the Droitwich-based operator of two Worcestershire hotel and conference centres, has been placed into administrative receivership after running into financial difficulties.
Both the Chateau Impney and the Raven Hotel are expected to continue trading as normal after the appointment of Kim Rayment and Toby Underwood from business restructuring firm BDO as joint receivers of the company. A business review has already been carried out, resulting in the loss of 45 jobs at the Impney Group, but administrators are confident of securing a deal to sell the two properties as a going concern to safeguard the remaining 83 jobs.
Rayment said: "Both hotels are continuing to trade and I am hopeful of securing a sale, which would protect these long-established renowned businesses as well as preserving jobs."
