We’re fulfilling a growing need from the spa market for when a treatment from a massage therapist is not a viable option

Spa equipment and treatment table manufacturer Earthlite has partnered with French Robot massage technology company Capsix to co-develop and distribute integrated autonomous wellness experiences.

The aim is to bring these new technologies to a broader global market, meeting demand for touchless and accessible treatments in wellness, spa, hospitality and fitness environments.

Earthlite says consumers are looking for convenient, reliable and hygienic health experiences and touchless massage systems are gaining traction in premium gyms, hotels, airports, corporate wellness programmes and luxury longevity centres.

Earthlite will be the exclusive distribution partner for Capsix’s iYU robot massage system in North America, Mexico and the Caribbean. The iYU will be available via Earthlite and its premium spa equipment brand Living Earth Crafts.

The two companies will co-develop solutions that integrate Earthlite’s massage tables and equipment with the iYU platform – for turnkey installations.

Earthlite’s CEO, Rod Derifield, told Spa Business: “With the introduction of the iYU AI-powered robot massage system, we’re fulfilling a growing need from the spa market for when a treatment from a massage therapist is not a viable option.

“Nothing can replace the value of human touch, however, this technology will allow spas to offer additional services which haven’t been available in the past,” added Derifield. “Capsix and Earthlite will have an iYU system in Earthlite’s experience centre at ISPA and we’re currently developing product enhancements which will be available later this year.”
