Easter completion for Eastleigh scheme
The developer behind a new £25m leisure scheme in Eastleigh, Hampshire, has said that the project is expected to be completed by Easter despite last summer's poor weather conditions and steelworks delays.
Cordwell Leisure Development is working on the 125,000sq ft (11,613sq m) extension of the town's Swan Centre, which will include a centrepiece nine-screen Vue cinema multiplex and a 20-land ten-pin bowling centre to be operated by AMF Bowling. Bars, restaurants and retail units are also part of the scheme, which will increase the size of the Swan Centre complex to 350,000sq ft (32,516sq m).
Malcolm Wilcox, managing director of Cordwell Leisure, said: "We eagerly await the completion of this high-quality scheme linking into the shopping centre, and which will undoubtedly establish Eastleigh as one of the south's leading leisure destinations."
