Eastleigh Borough Council to receive Ageas Bowl development update
Eastleigh Borough Council will receive a progress update on a proposed development at Southampton's Ageas Bowl cricket stadium when it meets tomorrow (26 July).
Last December, the local authority announced its approval to invest in a new hotel as part of the scheme, in addition to the purchase of the 167-acre (68-hectare) site.
However, the acquisition was subject to legal and financial issues and council members will be asked to confirm these have been resolved to an extent allowing the project to proceed.
