Edinburgh Leisure backs Urbathon
Sports trust Edinburgh Leisure is sponsoring Scotland's first ever Urbathon, taking place in Edinburgh in October this year.
The Urbathon is a 10km urban obstacle course being organised by the charity Chest, Heart & Stroke Scotland. Starting at Arthur's Seat and taking in the grounds of the Scottish Parliament, the race will include challenges which will remain secret until the day.
Edinburgh Leisure's health and fitness team is providing a training programme for the more than 700 entrants expected to take part.
The trust's head of health, fitness and sales, Lorraine Young, said: "We are delighted to be an official partner of Scotland's first ever Urbathon and look forward to creating a fitness programme for all those taking part.
"It will be specially tailored to the physical demands of the event and we look forward to welcoming participants to our venues between now and October to get their training underway."
