Energy awareness at Leisure Connection
Sport and leisure management company Leisure Connection has been running an energy awareness campaign throughout November.
Running in over 100 facilities, the aim of the initiative is to inform staff about managing energy more effectively. After reviewing the current systems, service and operational improvements have been implemented throughout the estate to reduce wastage.
“Being energy efficient is not just about saving money, we believe it’s our duty as a large organisation to do our bit in protecting the environment,” says Craig Morgan, operations director for Leisure Connection.
“We take social responsibility very importantly and by launching this campaign we hope to play our part in supporting the government's commitment to reduce emissions of greenhouse gases and the pledge to cut carbon dioxide emissions by 12.5 per cent by 2012.”
