Holistic Greek destination spa Euphoria in Sparta has announced the launch of the Feel Alive retreat, designed to help guests recover from the trauma of living through a global pandemic for the past year.

The package is curated to help guests purge and process negative emotions that have built up during the pandemic and help them to release negativity, feel safe and secure, reconnect with people and harness inner strength and flexibility.

Between July and November, the immersive four-night group retreat will be hosted and run by Euphoria’s founder Marina Efraimolgou and Euphoria’s spiritual mentor Mary Vandorou.

The journey is recommended to those feeling exhausted, lethargic, lost, lonely or in need of extra support.

Every morning will include a three-hour session blending a combination of meditation, Qi-Gong exercises and breathwork, bodywork, forest walks, Capoeira and expressive dancing.

With a maximum of nine participants, scheduled sessions will incorporate everything from emotional expression work and theatrical improvisations to creating personal mandalas incorporating a vision of guests' future.

In the afternoon, attendees will be encouraged to spend their afternoons at the spa, in the pool, immersed in nature or whatever feels right for them.

In addition, there'll be a weekly manager’s garden cocktail party where guests can meet Efraimoglou and some of the team members in an informal setting and mingle with fellow guests.

Prices for the four-night retreat start from €950 (£820, US$1,163) per person – excluding accommodation and meals – and includes a minimum of three-hour daily sessions with two mentors each morning.

The retreat will be able to be added and layered to one of Euphoria's existing wellness programmes, enjoyed by itself or customised so guests can add existing treatments.

According to Euphoria, the new Feel Alive concept will also inspire and theme exclusive daily activities held across the resort this summer, such as picnics, sunset gatherings, outdoor breathwork classes and nutritional workshops.

Guests will be able to take part in these activities regardless of their retreat programme.

Euphoria’s signature Five Elements meditations and expressive dance and performance work rooted in the Greek myths and tragedies will also all be on offer, as well as journaling, forest treasure hunts, music and mandala work.
